As a merchant you can use the space garbage as a safe place to traffic through to stay out of the sight of those that would plunder you. There's asteroids and debris all around out there if you're a pirate they are useful to hide behind to make your raids. Once you go through the single player mode you'll be readily equipped to handle the real world. The option for co-op gameplay is there as well, you can have a buddy join in as your wingman on missions for Squadron 42. This will teach you the first person shooter mechanics as well as the flying nuances inside the game. You will be a part of Squadron 42 and defend your greater ship against any attacks as well as do missions that are still being fleshed out as part of this squad. The single player mode that will lead you into the world is buried inside the Star Citizen gameplay online. Every time you make a command on the controller the character will do something in the cockpit which just adds to that level or immersion that is so important in massive games like this. Even in the cockpit of the ships you can see the touch of detail as each screen and button gets a bit of animation. I've already spent way too long creating characters in things like Skyrim and WoW, but I might end up never playing the game, just making faces.
There are going to be over 100,000 faces possible from the character customization which will allow for almost unprecedented levels of detail. The level of detail in not only the ships and the worlds but the character themselves shows how much the creators of this game care about their product. This intense planet is one of the worlds you can dock at. The Star Citizen gameplay allows you to venture out into the black and become what you want to become and that is what I'm most excited for. If you become a loyal team member and work your way up the social ranks you can become a respected Captain and lead missions around the world. If you choose to become a criminal you will be hunted and shunned by most of the regular community. You are literally a citizen of the stars in this game and the universe will react exactly as the real universe would. This game could not be more literally titled, I mean that in a good way.
